Drag an item onto a number — dropping on a filled place swaps them. Or tap an item, then tap a place. Arrow keys move a focused item up or down.

When to use a ranking chart

Use a ranking chart when every position matters: your top ten films of the year, the best albums of a decade, a shortlist of job candidates, or the order you'll tackle a to-do list. Unlike a tier list, nothing can share a place, so the chart forces the decisions that make a ranking interesting.

How to rank a list online

  1. Pick the size of your list — Top 3 through Top 25.
  2. Add your items: paste them one per line, start a line with an emoji, or upload images.
  3. Drag each item onto a number. Drop onto a filled place to swap the two.
  4. Not sure where to start? Fill randomly drops items into the empty places, then you fix the order.
  5. Export a PNG for social media, or copy a share link.

Tier list or ranking chart?

If you find yourself thinking “these three are basically equal”, a tier list is the better fit. If you want one clear winner and a definitive order, stay with the ranking chart. Many people do both: rough it out in tiers, then rank the top tier precisely here.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a ranking chart and a tier list?

A tier list groups items into bands (S, A, B…) so several can share a level. A ranking chart gives every item its own position — 1st, 2nd, 3rd — so it's best when you want a definitive order, like a Top 10.

How many places can my ranking have?

Choose Top 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25. If you shrink the list, anything that no longer fits goes back to the item pool.

Can I add pictures?

Yes. Add text, start an item with an emoji, or upload images. Images stay on your device and appear in the exported PNG.

How do I reorder items?

Drag an item onto any number — if that place is taken, the two items swap. On a phone, tap an item and then tap a number. With a keyboard, use the arrow keys.

Is it free?

Yes — free, with no sign-up and no watermark. Your ranking is saved in your browser automatically.
